I know your schedule is probably packed, so we offer the ease of online sessions. Online counseling is just as effective as face-to-face counseling, and it can be done safely and confidentially in the privacy of your own home/ bedroom! All counseling is done in a secure environment on the platform Doxy.me to ensure maximum privacy. When you are in session, you can be sure that what is being said is just between you and I.
Not everyone likes online counseling that's why I also offer in person counseling in the heart of Fairhaven near WWU.

Our first session is just us getting to know each other and making sure this is a good fit! You can expect some basic questions about what your interests are, what you like to do and why you are coming to counseling. We know that coming to your first counseling session can feel nerve racking and we want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible. We won’t make you talk about anything you do not want to.
-
Appointments typically last 53-60 minutes.
-
The frequency of the sessions depends on many things but some are your schedule, the schedule of the therapist and how often the therapist thinks it may be necessary based on your child’s individual needs.
-
The most important thing in therapy is that both the therapist and you feel like it’s a good fit! Sometimes that doesn’t happen. If that is the case you can be sure that we will provide referrals to who we think would be a good fit.
